Cabin seating on a boat rarely runs in straight lines — a curved bow, a tapered stern locker, cushions that need to lift for storage underneath. Getting a template of each panel matters more here than almost any other project.
Locker lids and lift-up seats mean cushions get handled a lot, so it's worth planning a removable, washable cover from the start rather than adding one later.
The hull doesn't run in straight lines. Your cushions shouldn't have to either.
